2026 STEM Summer Academy Season
A unique opportunity awaits your high school student (ages 14 – 17) at CCEDC Summer Career Academies! These immersive camps give students a real-world look into in-demand careers while helping them build confidence, leadership, and future-ready skills. Participants will explore career pathways they’re interested in pursuing, strengthen their college and job applications, make new friends, and—most importantly—have fun along the way. Through hands-on activities, mentoring, job shadowing, and local career excursions, students gain meaningful exposure to professionals and workplaces in our community. Summer Career Academies blend learning and entertainment to help students discover their interests, develop essential skills, and take the next step toward their future.

🍽️🔥 Inside the World of Hospitality & Culinary Careers 🔥🍽️
Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes at restaurants, hotels, and food brands you love? This hands-on camp takes you inside the fast-paced world of hospitality and the culinary industry. Students will step into the kitchen for interactive cooking lessons, explore how food products are made with a real manufacturing plant tour, and go behind the scenes at a hotel to meet the professionals who keep everything running, from chefs and event planners to managers, marketers, and guest experience teams. If you’re curious about food, travel, creativity, or business, this camp shows you how passion turns into a career.

Innovation Journey: $799
🎮📱 Innovation Journey: Influencer Inspired 🚀✨
Love video games, social media, and creating content? This camp takes students inside the world of influencers, digital creators, and tech-driven careers. Participants will learn how influencers build brands, grow audiences, and turn creativity into income. Students will get hands-on lessons from a social media manager, create their own personal or gaming brand, design a website, and develop content strategies across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and Instagram. The experience includes fun excursions to places with cutting-edge technology, giving students real exposure to the tools, spaces, and careers shaping the digital world.

Pro Path : $799
🏟️⚽ Pro Path: Sports Careers 🎯🔥
Love sports but not sure you want to play professionally? Pro Path: Sports Careers takes students behind the scenes to discover the many careers that make the sports world run. From athletic training and sports medicine to marketing, media, operations, and event management, students will explore how every role contributes to game day success. Participants will visit a major league sports stadium for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, meet professionals working in sports careers, and learn what it truly takes to operate a stadium. The experience wraps up with the excitement of watching a live game, seeing firsthand how all these careers come together in action.

Medical Excursion Program: $799
🩺🔬 Medical Excursion: A Journey into Healthcare Careers 🧬🏥
Does your high schooler dream of a career in the medical field? The CCEDC’s Medical Excursion offers an unforgettable experience where students can explore the fascinating world of medicine through hands-on learning, professional interaction, and real-world exposure to various healthcare careers.
Students will visit a variety of medical facilities to observe healthcare professionals in action, participate in hands-on learning experiences such as dissection labs, surgical suturing, and first aid training, and engage directly with medical professionals who share their career journeys and advice. Participants will also explore innovative medical tools and technologies shaping modern healthcare while earning verified observation hours, culminating in a Certificate of Completion to support college and career applications!

Important Note: Each camp includes daily off-site visits to different facilities. Students will be traveling from the CCEDC building each day and should plan to dress appropriately with comfortable clothing and proper footwear suitable for walking, standing, and active learning environments.
