2026 STEM Summer Academy Season   

A unique opportunity awaits your high school student (ages 14 – 17) at CCEDC Summer Career Academies! These immersive camps give students a real-world look into in-demand careers while helping them build confidence, leadership, and future-ready skills. Participants will explore career pathways they’re interested in pursuing, strengthen their college and job applications, make new friends, and—most importantly—have fun along the way. Through hands-on activities, mentoring, job shadowing, and local career excursions, students gain meaningful exposure to professionals and workplaces in our community. Summer Career Academies blend learning and entertainment to help students discover their interests, develop essential skills, and take the next step toward their future.

🩺🔬 Medical Excursion: A Journey into Healthcare Careers 🧬🏥

Does your high schooler dream of a career in the medical field? The CCEDC’s Medical Excursion offers an unforgettable experience where students can explore the fascinating world of medicine through hands-on learning, professional interaction, and real-world exposure to various healthcare careers.

Students will visit a variety of medical facilities to observe healthcare professionals in action, participate in hands-on learning experiences such as dissection labs, surgical suturing, and first aid training, and engage directly with medical professionals who share their career journeys and advice. Participants will also explore innovative medical tools and technologies shaping modern healthcare while earning verified observation hours, culminating in a Certificate of Completion to support college and career applications!

Important Note: Camp includes daily off-site visits to different facilities. Students will be traveling from the CCEDC building each day and should plan to dress appropriately with comfortable clothing and proper footwear suitable for walking, standing, and active learning environments.
